David Malek
BA Visual Arts

Currently studying interior design at Enmore Design Centre. He has been involved in design in many different capacities, as a product consultant for Arkitex Fabrics, painter and designer for Omellete Design and painted finish artist for K & R Paintworks. David is also a practising artist and has had paintings and drawings in group exhibitions, solo shows and completed private commissions.

David has been involved with Darlinghurst Theatre and the Shopfront Theatre as a writer, performer and assistant in props and set design.
“I like my work to show irony, humour or even a trick, like subverting the expected use of a material. I love work to reveal itself in stages, in the same way that things viewed from a distance are perceived differently upon closer inspection.”

This is David’s first exploration into product design.
