DESIGN PLIÉ SHOE

The brief for this project was to create a hybrid: 
I was commissioned to produce foot-ware with the durability of a shoe, but with the openness and lightness of a sandal. By using fine leather strips I could achieve the combination of strength and openness I  needed. This material also had the benefit of giving the shoes an  unusual amount of flexibility, hence the name.
