17. DAVID KNOTT

DESIGN DRACENA LIGHT, DIAMOND CUT BASIN

How would we treat water if it were as precious as diamonds?

The design of the Diamond Cut Basin strives to highlight water as one of our most precious natural resources.

The shape of the basin has been modeled using a traditional brilliant cut diamond pattern. The resulting geometric and faceted shape gives the water a jewel like luster that helps to reinforce the notion that water is an extremely rare and precious resource.

The Integrated Basin features a one piece formed corian vanity. The basin is seamlessly incorporated into the bench top surface. The design features chrome plated plug and waste and hidden wall mounts.

The design intent is to present water as if it’s an expensive jewel.

Perhaps if water looks precious, people may then also treat it so.
