DESIGN CHRYSALIS

The Chrysalis is my interpretation of a traditional hall table, something small in footprint with the practical purpose of storage.  

The shelves are accessed from the side, rather than the front, so when you enter the house you can easily deposit your keys, handbag and mail. These items are only visible from the side so they are hidden when looking at the unit front on, making it a neat solution for open-plan living. The small footprint also suits narrow or smaller rooms.

The undulating surface gives the unit a unique organic, sculptural quality, with the bottom shelves being ideal for wine storage.

 It sits against a wall on the floor. It can be secured with a weighted piece at the bottom. It is made from birch ply and veneer. The dimensions are 1.8m high x 28cm wide x 32cm deep.
