DESIGN TALKS, THE STRAND ARCADE
As part of Sydney Design Week (11 August 04), workshopped presented Design Talks, an informal presentation and discussion by some local experts. Presentation and discussion focused on the path from design to production. The talks were held on the ground floor of The Strand Arcade amidst the exhibits of workshopped 04.
Designer and freelance writer for Monument magazine, Heidi Dokulil, hosted the talks and directed the panel and Q&A session. Our panel was: Danny Cheung, Matt Conway, Karina Clarke, Stefan Lie and Rena Bernabai
We
had a great response to the talks. Originally catering for 50, over
80 people attended. We plan to develop the idea!
BEERSCAPES
Supported by workshopped (9-21 August 04) and held in the impressive Verge Bar of the Arthouse Hotel, Sydney…Beerscapes, an exhibition by digital artist Simon Alderson and photographer Kent Johnson. Described as the ‘landscapes of the imagination, temporarily etched in the side of the beer glass, captured and printed as large format prints.’

1984 - FISHTANK
In 2004 workshopped will realize one of its core missions…to facilitate the manufacture and distribution of Australian design. Danny Cheung’s 1984-Fishtank, which was designed specifically for workshopped 01, will go into production this year.
Workshopped pty ltd has assisted in bridging the gap between design prototype, production and distribution.
